My trip started in Fuerteventura. A small island in the Canary islands where the good weather is a constant all year around.

I stayed 3 nights in Fuerteventura and 4 nights in Lanzarote.

The Hotel

I choose Jandia for my location, the windy part of the island.

I stayed in a brand new hotel with more a modern concept of a beach house and I can say it was one of my favourite hotels so far.

Sol Beach House Fuerteventura was located right in front of the big lagoon and Sotavento’s beach where the world championship of windsurfing in hosted.

It’s not an easy beach for relax and swimming and the wind could be a little uncomfortable, but the Hotel and the landscape it’s worth the staying.

This 4 star Hotel was the best equipped amenities Hotel that I’ve ever stayed. It had kits for everything! The decoration was so beautiful with a bathtub facing the balcony and the ropes of Desigual brand were amazing.

In the room I also had Bluetooth speakers and a coffee set. I booked one of the best rooms and they offered me an extra gift a set of flip-flops and a tote bag.

The staff was really nice and the food was amazing. I had the breakfast and dinner included and let me say it was one of the best Hotel restaurants I have ever seen. It had quantity but most important quality! With so many options for vegan/vegetarian clients.

 

 

Transportation

Some destinations like Canary Islands the buses aren’t that frequent and hiring a car is the best option. Very very cheap, it costs an average of 20€ per day with insurance and gas is cheaper than other europe cities.

For me the  best company is the Cabrera Medina I have booked with them several times and in Fuerteventura I got an upgrade and drove a Fiat 500X.

What to see

Some of the Highlights of the island are:

• The Corralejo Sand Dunes, facing the Isla de Lobos;
• Cofete landscape, with breathtaking views;
• Small villages like Betancuria;
• Centro de Interpretación Los Molinos (2€), where you can enter the windmills and taste the tradicional product of the island: the small cakes made with Gofio.
• The mountain viewpoints, where you can find some squirrels and crows;
• Caleta de Fuste, one of the touristic areas.
